A massive thank you to God for all the amazing miracles we’ve seen in 2024 and those we haven’t seen but which you did anyway. And a massive thank you to our prayer supporters who pray for revival in Corio and for the Kingdom of God to come in power through the work of Little Miracles Community Inc. We couldn’t do it without you and we’ll need you more than ever in 2025.
In January we’ll be asking our core group if they’d like to meet every Saturday for church – our way. So I’ll be leading this emerging ‘church’ which will be based on primary school children and their parents; people who don’t normally ‘go to church’. All our decisions on culture will spring from Jesus’ teaching that the greatest commandments are that we love God and love our neighbour. We will host Bus Stop Cafe on Tuesdays (with sewing) and Thursdays which is a fleeting engagement with Jesus’ teaching and then Saturday will be a deeper experience where we can pray for miracles in people’s lives. I expect we will baptise a lot of people as we’re seeing youngsters keen to follow Jesus.
So please pray for grace from the Holy Spirit to cover us all, guide our leadership, protect those coming to faith and inspire our love and faith to step out boldly into God’s newness. Thank You!
Christmas in Prison
I am so grateful to have been invited to play drums (and be Santa) at two prisons for Christmas recently. Working with friends of Rebecca Chandran, we did two Sunday worship services and two family visit days. I see this as sowing seeds of the gospel not knowing if any will bear fruit.
Carols at Corio Village
It was a joy to team up with folks from Bethel church to sing Christmas carols at Corio Village. So many locals stopped and appreciated us sharing the reason for the season.
Structural Changes Ahead
Perhaps inspired by our searing financial challenges this year, I’ve sensed a push from the Holy Spirit to turn again to the Christian Brethren Trust and their subsidiary CCCVaT for a fuller position of membership within their fold. Please pray for God’s plans to be established in this relationship, as beyond a sense of ‘Go For It’, I’m not really sure how to approach them. I’d appreciate your support here.
Annual Figures
At the beginning of the year we forecast 4000 evangelistic engagements with locals from 3214, but we’ve exceeded that by over 50%. In 2024 we had 6700 engagements with non-Christians. Most of this is children who represent the Christian leaders of the future. Praise God!
Personally, it’s been tough!
Christine and I have had a really tough year with more rejection from local Christians and some even accusing us of lying and being greedy despite us being very generous to them! We’ve got professional cleaning jobs which drain any last energy we thought we had. Our bank has refused to lend us money and ‘friends’ who we’ve helped have also refused. However, I’m reminded by the Holy Spirit that now is the time to be strong and courageous and boldly declare, “God’s got this”, “We have nothing to worry about”.
We’re in the Miracle Zone
Despite the challenges, we’re excited to see the Lord working through our weaknesses in so many ways! And my time in Adelaide with Project Nexus was absolutely wonderful and instructive. Thanks for being part of the journey with us. 2025 will be God’s year and His kingdom will flow through us and be established in the community through Little Miracles!
