Pop-Up Church in Feb was so special

Pop-Up Church in February was so special. We had a beautiful gathering in early February with about 50 people enjoying the warmth of testimonies, worship, teaching and fellowship. Later in the month we did a door-nock of the area and prayed for several local folks. I asked some of the men who come regularly to the church, “What can we do as Pop-Up Church to bless the local people and to bless the Lord?” They took this very seriously and answered: “There are a violent trouble-makers in the area. Take care of that. Life is hard: Finances, relationships, housing. There’s a housing crisis. Why aren’t these vacant shops being used for the homeless? Why not partition them off and make a homeless shelter?” Their sincerity and care for their neighbourhood impressed me as did their idea of a homeless shelter. Something to pray about!

Engaging the Locals
Five locals lads helped me care for all the trees we’ve planted in four parks over the several years. We replaced broken tree guards and stakes, watered thirsty trees and cleaned up.

Caring for the Young Trees
After this hot work we went to McDonalds and I shared about following God and making wise decisions. I prayed for their felt needs and then delivered them home to mum.

Earning Money
These two brothers earned a little pocket money helping me fix the chairs at church.

Fixing Church Chairs
These are important life-skills and the boys said: “Its just good to get out of the house and do something.”

Something Special is Taking Place!

Corio Christian Centre
Creating a Board of Directors

The Lord brought me to share with Diane Spicer and the Lord confirmed to her the idea of creating a “Christian Community Centre” together and so she has joined our initial Board of Directors. So February ends with the decision to incorporate Little Miracles, to join CCCVaT and press the accelerator on new outreach ideas in Corio and Norlane. Praise God!
