Garden Overhaul

What a big job. And it’s still going. I’ve been so busy working on redoing the front garden of the church that I forgot to write this blog! First we used the digger to remove mountains of carpet which had been used as weedmat. Next we added soil and mulch and began planting new native plants. It doesn’t look very good yet, but in time it will be a lovely place for the local families to relax and connect in the household of God. And praise God, we have received sufficient funding for this work! Thank you.

Holiday Program
During the second week of the school holidays, we opened the building and have had a great time with local families doing craft, playing table tennis and catching up over pizza. Praise God we can use the building to bless the locals in Jesus’ name.

Family Visits
During September Christine and I both visited our families interstate. I went to Darwin to visit Arielle, Nik and baby Ava and Christine went to Brisbane to visit her sister and her family.

Focus on Miracles

I’m always keen on what’s next and how we can better serve and love our neighbours. And I’m thrilled to share that it seems God is saying we need to keep focussing on miracles as a primary strategy for future growth. This means not trying to create a church or running a church service. It means instead focusing on enabling and asking God to intervene supernaturally in people’s lives.
The idea is that on seeing lives changed people get thirstier for more then we teach them. Let’s focus on ushering in supernatural life-changing encounters which bring life, health and peace and then people will be hungry to find out more. So please join us in praying for the kingdom of God to come in power as Term 4 begins in a few days. As part of this, we will begin counting the number of pastoral conversations and personal prayer we have each day. I’m sure there will be a correlation between asking God for miracles and seeing miracles happen.

Our Peruvian Housemates
They’ll be staying in 2026 so, as the girl is growing up, she’ll need her own room. So we’ve decided to make another room on our shed for her. I’m excited about this side project.

Prayer requests
Please continue to pray for stable volunteers and new board members for our work and for signs and wonders to accompany the preaching of the gospel.
