Pop Up Church
Our September gathering was wonderful with Pastor Des bringing a powerful Gospel Message, here for you on Youtube. Our friends from One In Christ shared passionately and our Rock Band was really good, too. We’re noticing the crowd listening more intently these days and we’re looking forward to more changed lives through the gospel demonstrated in love. Christine was the MC this time, praise God!

Bus Stop Cafe – Term 3 Completed
Praise God that we’re gaining traction in teaching the children as we slowly worked our way through the first 7 chapters of the Gospel of Luke ending with Jesus being anointed by a sinful woman. It’s a difficult story to teach but the key visual shows the woman crying on Jesus’ feet and drying them with her hair. The message hits home: Jesus receives those who love him passionately, in complete abandon.

Christine continues to attract migrant women and their children with her lovely sewing group. Parting with Waqas, Javier, Ishmail and Hadgra was bitter sweet. Javier recorded THIS TESTIMONY with Christine for you.

Adelaide Conference – Reflection
My trip to Adelaide, made possible by the crew from Project Nexus, has become a proper chapter break in our ministry lives. Not only did I sing extensively on the drive, practicising the songs for our Rock Band, but I prayed for God to speak through people about the way forward for Little Miracles, and God did not disappoint.
Once I arrived in Adelaide, after 9 hours of driving, I was welcomed by billets from Edwards Town Baptist Church, Wayne and Jan Burgen, who turned out to be fabulous role models for our season ahead! Next the conference, church time and workshops after that were helpful and instructive thanks to those who prayed.

Then, on Monday evening I picked up Christine from central Adelaide, as she’d come over on a train to join me.

We set up camp in Chookarloo forest the first night and then Robe the second, but then we had an awkward car accident and wrote off our car, which set a new train of events in progress.
Christine and I were perfectly fine, as we were only going 55 km/h. Somehow I drove into a pole in Penola SA.
As if to drive home God’s message, we were helped by several men of substance, including a police officer who drove us to Mt Gambier and dropped us off at the library as he knew they would care for us. We learned from the library ways to engage the community that help us to create a community centre for Jesus in Corio.
Upon reflection, my view of our future mission in Corio has changed from “I don’t know”, to “I do know”. This means going deeper with the people who are following us, creating streams in the wasteland. Like Wayne and Jan, the police officer, the library – commit to redeem our suburb. There is no plan B. Stop wondering about the bigger picture and go deeper with those we have, leading them on in Christ. We believe this is obedience to God.
Finally, regarding finance, I am applying for cleaning jobs to generate the funds needed to continue through the next chapter.

Trees are growing well
Here is one of the trees we planted several years ago in Rosewall Reserve, Corio.
