Pop Up Church
Our Pop Up Church in early June was so lovely. The crowd loved the Rock Band and one teenage girl brought her grandmother along to hear the band and stay for church. Kiri was the MC and Angus preached two short words from the gospel of Matthew on the Sermon and the Mount and on Seek First the Kingdom of God. People listened attentively and even those who usually heckle listened humbly. We had about 60 people all up and we gave away handmade beanies at the break time and about 120 hot dogs at the end.

We were all excited and grateful for the amount of little miracles we saw among the crowd and for the growing sense of unity and love there is with everyone.

Bus Stop Cafe
Our Bus Stop Cafe seems to be getting better and better. Around 50 people come each day. It begins with mums and their preschool children. They come for spiritual enrichment through friendship, play and prayer. Some come to make scrunchies like Lisa and Isla in the photo. Then we set up the learning challenges for the school children who come at 3:10. Each child does a challenge which teaches a little about Christianity and then they get a hot chocolate. We are preparing a Holiday Learning Pack for the school holidays and more and more children are taking these. The pack includes learning multiplication tables and memory verses. We’ve now had two children make first time commitments to follow Jesus this term!

In this lovely photo, Kaleb is showing Christine’s mum Val an awesome story from the Bible.

Leadership Training
Angus has been offered a full scholarship to join an innovative Christian leadership program: Incubate with Project Nexus. Thanks to everyone who made that happen. It starts in a week!
Leaders’ Meeting
Angus hosted a meeting of the leaders at Corio Christian Centre to help build healthy relationships and help everyone work together well. We’re planning a Leaders’ Dinner in August.

Deputy Mayor Anthony Aitken dropped in to finish the term!
