What an amazing start to the year!
We’re 5 weeks into Term One and we’ve had 580 visits! That’s an average of 45 primary school kids per day, three days per week. We’re teaching about the people Jesus met and we’re seeing such beautiful things happen as we grow together in Christ. Lots of regulars are coming back and many new children and families. We’re giving away chocolate milk as usual, but on the hot days, we give frozen flavoured Zooper Doopers!
We bought a picnic table with grant money from the City of Greater Geelong and here are some locals using it! Christine and I are managing to teach up to 60 children per day on our own! It helps that we set up the tasks prior and the majority of the kids know exactly what to do and don’t need help. We are seeing more children and families stay back for pizza and games on Wednesdays and jumping the rope is becoming increasingly popular! It’s great to facilitate the kids playing without their screens and learning about Jesus! Thanks for being part of it!
Looking Forward to Something New!
It seems Christine and I are now core leaders and the Lord has sent other organisations to work with us and here is an example. Last year we met with Megan Scott from Prison Fellowship. We shared about ministering Jesus to the poor and agreed to co-host a school holiday program because many of our families have someone in prison. Megan has pushed the accelerator and we are ready to try our first collaboration in the first week of the school holidays. Have a look at the poster! Praise God!

Christine and I are meeting Julie MD and other leaders from GBC next week to explore how we can help their students love the local community in Jesus’ name.
Our Trees are growing
